Rehearsal FormatTo cater for the differing playing standards of orchestra members the format of each rehearsal begins with easier pieces, progressing to more difficult music after the break. There may be short sectional coaching and often some gentle sight-reading. As a rule we do not put ourselves under pressure by giving public performances. We open our doors at the end of each term to an audience of parents, spouses, family and friends and passers-by, when we play through pieces that we have been working on during the term, and demonstrate a typical Saturday rehearsal.
